Why To The Republicans Is The Sky Falling And The End Of The World Coming When Money Is Used To Help The Poor ?

Why is it all of suddenly socialism to help people who really need it and it's not socialism when you let wealthy rich people keep billions of dollars by not paying taxes or give companies that make billions subsidies they don't really need. Isn't that just a socialistic society for the rich who don't even need the money. I would rather have a socialistic society that benefits people who have nothing then one who benefits the wealthy that have everything.
